As a keen console gamer for three decades it is clear that significant changes have occurred in the industry. In the early 8 bit and 16 bit generations, products shipped to retailers, were reviewed, and if they were good (or had a sizeable marketing budget) then they would join the honourable yet foul stench of bad feet and good nutsacks in the bedrooms of teenage boys. Rock Band 4 announced today!

That’s right guys, Rock band is back!
Developer Harmonix is working with hardware manufacturer Mad Catz to bring Rock Band 4 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by the end of 2015, the two companies announced today.
And guess what? They are planning on letting you carry over all of your previously downloaded songs over to it as well.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m excited, what’s you opinions?

New Major PS4 update arriving?

So it’s just been leaked that the Playstation 4 will be getting a MAJOR update to its system soon… Really soon actually, It’s said to be available on the 29th March. Even though the details haven’t been released about whatvoimd of update it is, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be awesome!

So far in 2015 gamers have experienced much more than their fair share of delays and let-downs, from The Witcher 3’s delay to February 24th then further delayed until May 19th as well as the disappointing release of The Order 1886, Is this generation the generation of disappointment and delay?

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes sold three times as much on PS4 as on Xbox One

Xbox must be looking a bit red faced at the moment as Konami has revealed a significant sales bias for March release Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. konami’s latest financial report reveals that the game sold three times as many copies on Sony’s PS4 as it did on Xbox One.

 

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition confirmed, runs at 1080p on PS4 & Xbox One

Square Enix has officially announced Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will run at 1080p on both PS4, and Xbox One.

Coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 10, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will feature a remastered version of the original game running at 1080p. 24 pieces of DLC, including the Year of the Snake and Nightmare in North Point add-ons will also be included. Square Enix has yet to confirm whether the frame rate will be boosted to 60fps or if it will continue to run at the original 30fps.
